Bunting!

A new way of life…

This was my first of many strings of bunting! I love the patchwork-style option of combining the fabrics that I’ve been working with recently and tinkering with the placement until it feels right.

Technical notes: I found a video tutorial about how to make bunting by Jo Clark of Today We Craft. I’ve made three templates on medium-weight cardboard - small and medium are pictured above and large is pictured below.
Small = 3 by 3½”
Medium = 4 by 5”
Large = 6 by 7”

New skills: Experimenting with how to make points as sharp as possible, using twill tape, using “wonder clips” instead of pins. For the extra special bunting below: My very first appliqué letters and a plaid heart.
