Tiny Quilt #5

5/100

This is my first appliqué experiment - adding a piece to the quilt with stitching that isn’t part of the background or patchwork. It seems that a series of portals might become part of my Tiny Quilt experiments... I’m also interested in the way that the two different fabrics in the background suggest a horizon line / landscape, and I’m interested in doing this again on purpose. This fabric from Value Village reminds me of crinoid fossils 👀

Tiny Quilt #5
Dimensions: 4 by 6”
Influenced by Heidi Parkes’ appliqué techniques.
