Tiny Quilt #7
7/100
I was surprised by how quickly this little quilt came together. I’m still learning about what’s possible! I’m also discovering that I really enjoy working with linen/cotton blends. This piece is quilted with ties at the corners of the dark blue squares. It’s challenging to work with denim, but I really like the way it looks and feels. I like the way the dark blue could be the colour that the lighter denim makes when it crosses over.
Tiny Quilt #7
Dimensions: 8 by 8”
Influenced by a pattern that I adapted from Contemporary Patchwork by Arounna Khounnoraj. I hope to take Arounna’s patchwork class online in August through Tatter.
New skills: Trying out a pattern that uses smaller strips of fabric as borders between squares. I’d like to do this again with plain squares and bright / boldly patterned borders. I could imagine making a larger quilt (or bag?) with many of these blocks.
