This is my first star block! (A star made of stars.) I’m excited about the infinite possibilities with this design. For this Tiny Quilt, each square was 1.5” before sewing, so they’re 1/2” not including seam allowances. This is smaller than I envisioned, and challenging to sew precisely at this small scale. I’d like to put a star block on a hat or sweatshirt sometime soon. But I realize that it would be more satisfying to work slightly bigger. I also want to experiment more with colour combinations that work well to highlight the star shape - close up and at a distance.
