Tiny Quilt #2

2/100

This was an experiment in creating a patchwork checkerboard. I’m excited about the combination of including some half-square triangles in an otherwise square composition.

Tiny Quilt #2
Dimensions: 7½” square
Influenced by Olly Costello’s use of a few triangles among many squares.

New skills: Checkerboard pattern.Working with linen/cotton blends for the first time. Making a half-square triangle with the help of this video with Faith Hale. The choice of a contrasting quilting thread instead of a colour that blends in, and a bold frame.
